I was extremely fortunate to be able to go to a place in this world that is one of the last remaining wild places in Africa. The Niassa Reserve in nothern Mozambique. I need to say a special thank you to Chapungu-Kambako Safaris for hosting us.

I have hunted Africa several times and anyone who would not consider Kalahari Oryx for their next destination would be foolish. I hunted lion on foot with well experienced trackers and a well educated PH and had the most adrenaline packed hunt of my lifetime.

I have had the opportunity to hunt in Africa on five different occasions with no bad safaris, but also none that compared to the quality of this hunt. The variety and quality of animals far exceeded my expectations.

Hunting at Kambako was fantastic. It was great every night to come back to the lodge, take a hot shower, change into clean clothes, hear the adventures of the day from the other hunters and sit down to a gourmet dinner.

The lodge overlooking the river is in a beautiful setting, the chalet with every imaginable amenity and of course the food….excellent in every respect. The staff took care of our every need and always asked if everything was OK.

Everybody has been most helpful, resourceful and high class professional to cater to the slightest of our needs and hopes. Should there remain but a few paradises on earth, Kambako team and operation in Mozambique is high on the list.

Our hunt in the Timbavati was the best ever. Excellent service, attention to detail, friendly and experienced PH – it was all out of this world. Huge, big, mean, and very old buffaloes were everywhere to be seen, plus a wealth of wonderful species. What a fantastic safari!

Kambako Camp is one of the finest camps I have been to in all of Africa, this past safari was my fourteenth safari in Africa and my second, back to back trips to Kambako. Great old world African experience with the best PH’s, staff and support personnel I have seen.

Together we experienced a trip of a lifetime with Chapungu-Kambako Safaris. We had an amazing successful adventure with the guidance of PH Darren. Mozambique offers exceptional wilderness hunting, great lodging and wonderful staff.
